We believe every milestone matters no matter how big or small. Our Ability Achievements initiative is all about recognising the personal growth, courage, and everyday wins of our incredible participants.
Whether it’s mastering a new skill, attending a first community outing, or simply showing up with confidence, we celebrate these moments with pride and heart.
By acknowledging progress in all its forms, we aim to build self-belief, inspire others, and remind every participant that their journey is valued, unique, and worth celebrating.
Calming spaces are designed to reduce overwhelm, with soft lighting, soothing colors, and thoughtful layouts that support regulation and comfort.
Each child’s day is guided by their own preferences, rhythms, and favorite items so they feel secure and grounded in an environment that respects their individuality.
Change can be hard, so we use visual cues, simple explanations, and gradual steps to make every shift in activity smooth and reassuring.
Our staff bring warmth, patience, and understanding, forming strong relationships built on trust so children know they are valued and safe.

We understand that handing over care is a vulnerable step. At Myka Place, our role is to earn your trust and your child’s with every visit.
Every guest at Myka Place is welcomed by Elefly, our part-elephant, part-butterfly mascot who symbolises strength, gentleness and transformation. Elefly is a comforting presence for many of our young visitors, helping to ease anxieties and support emotional regulation.
Elefly features in our rooms, sensory kits, bedtime stories and even our welcome packs, making every stay feel a little more magical.

We are a home built on trust where families can exhale, knowing their children are safe, and celebrated. Through warmth, structure, and everyday moments of joy, we hold space for healing, belonging, and growth.
We build healing relationships through presence, show love with compassion and consistency, and honour every identity and culture so all belong.
Main room Trio:
Calyx (which protect the flower bud before it blooms).
“Where safety cradles potential.” A nurturing space for gentle beginnings. Like the outer layer of a flower bud, Calyx protects and supports children as they prepare to grow.
Budhi (Noongar: “to grow”)
“Tiny steps, mighty roots.”
Budhi is where early development is celebrated in every giggle, gaze, and grasp. A soft, grounded space for young children to grow, explore, and connect.
“Strong hearts rise here.”
Yira is where children rise in their identities, strengths, and stories. A space for growth in all its forms, fostering courage, curiosity, and empowered steps forward.
